  Notes
Important information from DCP member Phil Boyle: "This point lies down the supposedly beautiful (and bird-filled) Wādiy Adhana in the governorate of Ma'rib. However, the route, and the CP itself, takes you into the heart of the territory of the Khawlān tribe; currently, foreigners are banned by the government of Yemen from visiting Khawlāniyy areas (this tribe has been responsible for many kidnaps of foreign nationals), so it is most unlikely that any non-Yemeni visitors would be able to get through the many police checkpoints en route. If/when the situation changes, it will still most likely be necessary to organise both a police escort (which will be mandatory for many years, I'm sure) and - critically - a tribal escort consisting of Khawlāniyys. The latter should ensure your safety under the tribal honour code. A visit to this point will be a great adventure indeed!" (added 04 May 2007 GK)
