27-Apr-2003 -- This was our first day of a six day sailing tour to the volcanos of the Lipari Islands. On this sunny Sunday at 12:21 we approached the confluence with the sailing boat Violetta without any problems. The European WAAS (called EGNOS) worked well and we achieved a GPS precision of 7 to 8 feet. After some adjustments we reached the exact position N 39°00.000' E 016°00.000' at a GPS precision of 8 feet. After some minutes at the confluence and some drinks we set up our course to Stromboli, where we intended to go in the evening of this day. Later we had some troubles with our sails. We were obliged to change our target to Lipari in order to find a safe place for the sail repair on the next day.
