27-Mar-2004 -- Waiting for weather and time constraints left one day to bag this confluence. The day dawned dreich and unhelpful, this didn't look good but, onward ever upward. The Land Rover was loaded with collapsable canoe and several flasks and off we set for the two hour drive to an as yet unknown launch site. A lazy swell, building wind and sea level cloud didn't inspire confidence as we constructed the canoe. We had visions of four identical, grey, cardinal photos. Once out there though the mist started to clear and Eigg, Rum and Muck were revealed. The Garmin took us faithfully ever nearer and manouevering into the swell brought us to the spot in a shimmering ampitheatre of islands.
