06-Mar-2004 -- A three hours after having visited 37N 7E we entered another Bay, the Golfe de Annaba (Golfe de Bone), where 37N 8E is located. Golfe de Annaba extends from Cap de la Garde (Ra's al-Ḥamrā') in the West and Cap Rosa in the East.
The southern coast of Golfe de Annaba consists of wooded dunes, but the wind has changed to South now and brings us sand from the desert, deteriorating the visibility. A closer look to the South shows us mountain ranges of the Tell Atlas of various heights.
The water depth around the Golfe de Annaba is less than 200 metres, and that means: there is fish. Here we see an Algerian trawler.
A closer look again to the vicinity of Cap de la Garde shows us how rugged and steep the Tell Atlas partially is.
