20-Jul-2004 -- While out looking for a geocache (at the confluence) called "Caribou Jaw Confluence Cache", we also logged the confluence itself!
It was about a three hour drive over a very rough road (each way) from the nearby town of Churchill Falls, Labrador. It was raining off and on all day, and the flies were rather viscious, including deer flies, black flies, and mosquitoes.
It was about a 10 - 15 minute walk from the vehicle to the cache site. The cache had been plundered by a bear. The terrain was typical for interior Labrador... scraggly spruce trees, caribou moss and lichen floor, with several species of willows and alders providing for difficult travel in places.
