(visited by Thomas Barthel)

13-Jul-2019 -- During our summer holidays in Canada, I took the chance to visit some confluence points. The story continues from 46°N 74°W visit #4.

We enjoyed the ferrying across the river St. Laurent very much, especially seeing some groups of Beluga whales in the distance. After a nice break at the Café Grains Folie in Trois-Pistoles we followed route 293 direction south east. In the village Saint-Jean-de-Dieu we turned to the left, onto route 295. Two kilometres later we turned left on the road "Rang de la Rallonge E". After 900 m along this unpaved road we reached a farm with a sign "Ferme Pakama Site 2" on a turn off. We followed this track direction south east and parked the car 950 m later. Now the access continued by foot. I walked along the field edges, jumped over the ditch. After the walk of 480 m I reached the field with the confluence point on it. Clovers was growing. 310 metres later I reached the exact spot of the confluence 48°N 69°W. It is located around 5 metres away from a dense forest, as to see one the pictures showing the view to south and west. Later, when I was back on the car, a pick-up came and the friendly man asked if everything is okay. I explained him the reason for my visit and asked him what he is doing here. He said that he is the neighbour of the owner and that he is checking the fields. On the way back I have had a view for a beautiful little creek, named "Cours D'Eau Du Sixième Rang" with it's nice reflections, which was dammed up because of the road.

Afterwards we continued our trip direction north east, to discover the semi island Gaspé.

The story continues at 49°N 66°W visit #4.
