#1: The confluence point lies next to this stump, in a patch of forest next to a clearing

(visited by Ross Finlayson)

01-Aug-2011 -- Driving from the Parc National de la Gaspésie eastward towards the tip of the Gaspé peninsula, I was pleased to visit this confluence point, after my disappointment at [49,-66] the previous day.

Unlike the previous visitors (in 2002), I was able to drive very close to the confluence point. In fact, a series of rough gravel roads took me just 400 metres from the point. I then walked along another, rougher gravel road (too rough for my rental car), ending in a clearing, just 13 metres from the confluence point. To get 'all zeros', I had to battle through a tiny bit of thick forest. Because the view from there is boring (nothing but trees), I took the 'north, east, south, west' photos from the edge of the clearing, 13 metres away.
