#1: The confluence

(visited by Penko Roussev and Bogomil Roussev)

18-Aug-2003 -- I cannot call this point of confluence “easy to find”, especially in the mid-August heat, and especially in the time of the day we reached the place. The grass was like spilled dynamite. Only a flash was enough to burst it into flames. Everything alive – sheep, cows, people, around was hidden under the tree shadows. Only the annoying flies were our companies during the entire trip. If someone sees us from aside in this field of heat, waving branches of trees to prevent the flies from attacking us, he would think that we are doing magic to “confluence” with the point. The heat situation changed a bit after we entered the forest. It was a bit cooler, however, unfortunately all the rivers and flows there were dry. Only marks from the heavy showers and the river stones reminded of the places where the river passed. Probably, the first visitor of this point made a mistake with the exact location because of the bad weather in the season when he visited and photographed the spot. The spot is actually a field, where a young oak tree grows – there and nowhere else! The view is really fantastic and you can see this on the pictures I took. If you depart for this point, you have to use a small village road, which almost reaches the point. The road takes another direction after the village of Alexandrovo, immediately after the bridge in a western direction. Your vehicle should be highly potent because the field is marked with deep marks of heavy showers (Like this is the middle of the parallel ;-).
