01-Apr-2010 --

I left Queretaro early with my family to Torreon, Coahuila where we would spend a few days off, so as "Confluence Hunter" explored in the DCP if there was a confluence (write in capital letters because sometimes the chute to find it is justified, is also a pleasure to find them to seem them do it with tiny little importance), I do not deviate much from my route to the "Comarca Lagunera".

I found the Confluence 24° N, 103° W is only 19 kms from the main road, so I decided to include it in my Confluence to visit. I loaded my Nüvi 760 with warnings to alert me when it would have to leave Highway 49, I loaded my Oregon 300 with the points remain in Nieves, Zac. and the Confluence 24-103. We arrived at Nieves 2 pm, we traveled in two cars, so my wife, a friend and two of my daughters, they stayed in Nieves and I accompanied my grandson Ian and daughter Ceci (she already has two to Confluence visited). We toured the points marked on the GPS in truck for a few hundred meters and the remaining 480, we made them walk between rows, thorns and barbed wire fences, which we chest to the ground to avoid damage the fences of these properties. GPS In the remaining meters were discounted as we could go almost straight line to the confluence, until we arrived, we got all zeros without much difficulty, we take the required pictures and go back to where we had left the van and then to Nieves where my family waiting for us with a rewarding palettes and soft drinks, that I really enjoy because the heat was intense.

In this area, there are many rain fed farming, some land are red as in many parts of Zacatecas, in places there are "gobernadora" (Larrea tridentata, also known as creosote bush, and hediondilla), with applications such as mouth herpes healing, rheumatoid arthritis, infections and parasites. There are also lechuguilla (agave lechuguilla Torr), mesquite, etc. The weather this time is hot and dry. Soon I will upload a video on Youtube with the title "24 N 103 W. Confluence
