22-Feb-2008 -- This is my second visit to this confluence. On the first visit a few years ago I had the unfortunate idea to bring only a disposable camera, and most of the pictures I took turned out to be out of focus and pretty much useless.
The confluence is 2 Km east off km 147.5 on the Sierra Yoyo Desan Road. Check Dave Patton's excellent post with an overview of the area. I can add only a few things: the SYD road can now be accessed via a new connector road from Fort Nelson, going past the airport. A new 2 lane bridge has been built over the Fort Nelson River, less exciting than the shared access bridge, but definitely safer. Traffic on the SYD road is radio controlled (154.1 kHz LADD 1).
