01-Jul-2004 -- I have a cottage on Clearwater Lake near The Pas. A friend of mine told me about the Confluence website, and I noticed the one on Clearwater had not been visited.
My wife Carol and I decided that July 1 was a good day to go to the confluence, wind permitting. It is located about 1 mile offshore, near the Clearwater Lake Caves.
We left our cottage about 09:00, and were at the confluence at 09:30. It is about a 10 mile trip from our cottage. I took several pictures with the GPS in the picture, then headed across the lake to fish for pike. I caught a 41" pike on my flyrod. We were back at the cottage by 13:00. A great start to Canada Day.
Coordinator's Note: The photos from the July 1st visit did not meet our photo requirements, as most of them had the GPS in the photo. The confluence was re-visited on July 6th to get acceptable photos.
