30-Jan-2005 -- We went out with Oscar from Puerto Madryn at 6:30 at about 300km from the planed confluence. We found ourselves with Mariela and Gustavo who were camping at the Dique Ameghino .

From there we went to Las Plumas, last fuel suply and preparations. We tried to reach the "Los 3 Hermanos" farm but only could get as close as 15 km. There was a gate, and no more road, after there we went south reaching the dry river. There we try to go inside the river but couldnt go ahead, becasue recent rains where bringing some water to the dry river, producing lots of mud in some places, we walked around to see our options.

We where at about 7,8 km when we found a "gaucho" on his horse, he recomend us to go back and try to reach the point by Rodriguez farms.
There again reaching Rodriguez farm we where at 7,4 km, further south and no road ahead. There Oscar walked again and found a path made by old farm machine. So we decided to cross again the river and try to get closer following the path over the small river.

Finally the course of these river took us to within 3,7 km and at 17:00 on the afternoon. From there we walked, at top of the hill and with 200 meters to reach the confluence rain, lighting and thunders starsed. We ran to reach the point and as fast as posible took the pictures of the confluence at 20 meters.

We where afraid of the lighting because it is dangerous being on hight plains without trees, just as we where. The wayl back was faster, and the rainwow said good bye to us.
