As we proceeded on to our second confluence of the day, there were glimpses of sun breaking through the clouds. This was another easy-to-reach confluence, located just south of a weir on the edge of the Hélōng Reservoir (合隆水库).
We parked the car by the weir, then walked down a dirt track next to a canal, where there were a number of children playing. Further along, some ducks were enjoying the water. We saw some wild raspberries growing beside the track, and sampled one each (safety in numbers).
The confluence was located to the right of the track, in a field of sweet potato sandwiched between the track and the canal. Peanuts were growing next to the sweet potato, and corn next to the peanuts.
We took the GPS and north-south-east-west shots, then a group photo.
On the way back to the expressway, we passed by the aftermath of a serious head-on collision between a van and a motorcycle. Not a pleasant sight.
