On the way to the next confluence, when we pulled over for a comfort stop, we discovered another piece of the car falling apart: the air foil. Peter borrowed some of the wire that was still holding the radiator in place, and used it to secure the air foil. I think we were very lucky we didn't lose the air foil somewhere along the expressway.
This confluence hadn't been visited previously, and it was a piece of cake. We parked on a track between a cornfield and an enormous expanse of peanut plants, and walked the 200 odd metres to the point. Andy enjoyed a ride on my shoulders.
Just as I reached the confluence, my GPS batteries expired, and I had to borrow Peter's before I could take the GPS shot. Andy helpfully scooped up a handful of dirt to throw at me as I was taking the north-south-east-west photos. Everyone smiled for the group photo. This was our second confluence before lunch.
