03-Jun-2001 -- We left almost as planned, only the intended team had halved in size, so only one boat and two confluence team members started the journey from Helsinki to Inkoo by boat.
Luckily the past confluence experience thought us to value a good night's sleep before starting the confluence hunt.
The confluence spot itself would have been a short boat trip from Inkoo harbor, but it was much more fun this way, cruising the Finnish coast line for about 100km. Our boat was a fast small red devil, maxing about 38 knots. It was hell for our bottoms at top speed, though.
We could not hit the exact spot on GPS as we were running circles around it, but we got very close to it. As usual, an image of the GPS receiver quite close to the location is included.
You can check the writer's website for video clips from the location.
On the way back we called a friend who missed this trip and we decided to head for another, secondary spot near Helsinki.. (60N25E)
