06-Jan-2008 -- We made a ten-day trip from Dākhila Oasis walking with camels carrying our gear to get to this point - averaging about 25 km a day.

In ten days we saw no one and had a wonderful time. We found grinding stones, tools, extinct tiger teeth, and other treasures, and crossed several times the tracks of esteemed German explorer Carlo Bergmann.

There is no better feeling than arriving at a point by your own steam and not by the all too easy 4x4!
