15-May-2007 –We decided to visit new confluence point when we were in Astana for a business trip. We have a copy of old Soviet map of this part of Kazakhstan and a photo from Google Earth service. We took a taxi from our hotel and spent about one and a half hour for the trip to the point. We drove about 35 km onto the road Astana–Almaty and turned left to Volgodonovka and then took right turn to Vyatcheslavka. After we drove about two km we turned left from the paved road to an unpaved one along a power line in a field. When the distance to the point was about 250 meters, our road turned to the right and we had to walk through the field. The entire journey took about three hours. The weather was sunny.
