11-Jul-2007 -- We were travelling from Masvingo to Chimanimani and planned to visit this Confluence on our way, we noticed a small road on the right which should take us to about 2.5 km east of the Confluence. We found the road by a small business centre and drove down it. Not a bad road, the closest we could get was 2.3 km, so Lisbeth and I decided to take the walk (being the oldest in the party) and left the young people by the car.
We hadn't checked out the site on Google Earth, so we didnt know if it was on top of one of the many rocky hills (kopjies, as we call them). As it turned out, it wasn't. We walked along the river bed (dry), the area was pretty deserted, and we found the site among some large boulders, as you can see on the photos, a pretty place. This area is in the lowveld with baobab trees.
