#1: General view from near confluence

(visited by Terry Collins)

14-Aug-2006 -- Our expedition consisted of myself, wife Pam, son Murray, his wife Julie and 1 year old daughter, Keira. We drove 2 4wds to within 2kms of confluence where we set up base camp. Because of the heat and rough terrain, Murray and I opted to ride trials bikes to the confluence. We arrived at 3.30pm.

We found the confluence in a dry creek bed. The General View is an easterly aspect showing the general terrain. GPS Location shows the GPS reading with the 7 meter variance. GPS Contours shows the waypoint and a breadcrumb trail used to locate the confluence. It also shows elevation in meters. GPS Map Datum shows that WGS 84 map datum was used (see dirty thumb). Other pictures submitted show the cardinal points and each is identified by the name east, south, west and north in the name.
