Well what a hard 4 days of driving since we left our last confluence of S25 E136. All the way was very slow low range four wheel driving.

After visiting Geosurveys Hill, the GPS showed it was 22 kilometres as the crow flies, but after 1 and a quarter days driving and 26 kilometres, we finally arrived at this very remote Simpson Desert Confluence.

Seeing that this confluence was visited less than 12 months previously, there was still visible the small flag left by the previous group. Because of the remoteness of this location, I believe that we were the second group of white people to ever visit this location. I say white in this term, as the original inhabitants of this land were Aboriginals, which had occupied the Simpson Desert Area for over 5000 years. We came across many signs that they had previously occupied this part of the desert in the forms of stone chippings and grinding stone, long since abandoned and left as they were last used.

After the usual photos, it was time to head south to the Geographical Centre of the Simpson Desert and then out of the Desert on old Seismic Shot Lines that had not seen anyone on this faint desert tracks in decades.
