28-Dec-2004 -- Myself, Marieta and our son Martin visited this Confluence on our way back from Witsand in the Karoo. The road that we travelled crossed the longitude 24 degree East. We left our car next to the road and had to walk 2 kilometers to the Confluence. We met a farm worker on our way who was all smiles to see someone between nothing and nowhere. We explained that we just wanted to take some photos. Photo 6 is his house about 1 km from the Confluence.
The temperature was well over 40° Celsius. The temperature in the car was 41° after a while when the aircon was not running. The area is very dry, although they must have had some good rains in the days preceding our visit. There were some wet patches in the road and some water next to the road. The main farming activities are sheep and cattle. There are also a couple of hunting farms in the area.
