15-May-2009 -- This is the 65th of a series of 83 confluence visits during our voyage from Nigeria to Europe and back to Nigeria around the entire African continent. It all started on 28 January 2008 at 11N 5E.

Story continues from 29S 28E.

This morning we left Lesotho and our intention was to drive to East London. At Rouxville we got onto the N6 and followed this road passing through Alival-North and further on to Jamestown. Approximately 20 km past Jamestown we found a road on our Tracks4Africa maps and followed this road and got this way to the Confluence.

The Confluence is situated 260 m next to the road. However, we did not opt to take the shortest possible route since this would have required to climb into a fenced-off area where presently some game is kept. We drove a bit back and found a more suitable entry point to the Confluence, which meant that we had to walk 600 m to it.

We took a different route back and got onto the N6 before the Penhoek pass.

Continued at 32S 27E.
