#1: The confluence point lies in a large farm field (currently fallow). This is also a view to the West, towards some farm buildings.

(visited by Ross Finlayson)

29-Mar-2023 -- I’m on the tail end of my annual Southern Hemisphere Summer trip to New Zealand and Australia, spending a few days in the Australian state of Victoria. Of course, I’m also taking the opportunity to visit some new (to me) Degree Confluence Points in Victoria (and the southern part of neighbouring New South Wales).

As I drove north from Bendigo across a vast flat agricultural plain, I suspected that this point would end up being rather boring. And I was right - the point lies in a flat, currently-fallow farm field, with little to see in any direction (except that some farm buildings are visible to the west). I parked at [-36.00273,144.00240] - 360m southeast of the point - climbed over a gate, and hiked the rest of the way.

Remarkably, this was the first recorded visit to this point in almost 19 years. This was surprising, as the point is quite easy to reach.
