20-Jan-2005 -- Walking the Torres Del Paine Circuit we planed to visit the confluence in the national park. Starting from Refugio Los Cuernos we managed to get as close as 43m to the confluencewhich seems to be located at the north side of Cuerno Este near or at the top. Our nearest point was located 3km from Refugio Los Cuernos at a height of 1392m and took us around 4 hours to reach. Having a good look at Valle Bader we could also look at one of the Torres from a quite different angle.
I want to dedicate this visit to our friend Reinhard Schwentner who died in May 2004. He also walked the Torres Circuit in 1998 and did the first successful visit to N47E13 with us.
