(visited by Helmut Resch and Babs Coleman)

03-May-2008 -- This is the 24th of a series of 83 confluence visits during our voyage from Nigeria to Europe and back to Nigeria around the entire African continent. It all started on 28 January at 11N 5E.

Story continues from 10N 11W.

Coming from Koundara in Guinea, we were crossing the border into Senegal and heading to Vélingara. Before entering the town there is the turnoff to Kolda. We took this turnoff and drove to the village Kandiaye. We found a track through the village and continued towards the Confluence.

600 meters from the Confluence we found a track, which lead us as close as 100 meters to the Confluence. After completing all the necessary documentation, we set up camp for the night right there.

Continued at 13N 15W.
