09-Dec-2005 -- This confluence was easy to reach, we were on our trip from Zihuatanejo to Acapulco when we approached the point to a distance of 4 km. I've seen a small road on the left heading in a coconut field which was alongside the main road. But in the map was a road heading to north more east of the point, so we followed the road until we passed a military post (which are very common in Mexico) on the crossway where you can go to Acapulco or to direction Mexico D.F. But we only came away from the confluence and so we turn back and decided to attempt the little road, which led us to a small village, where the road ends.
Not bad, because the GPS shows us that we were only 650m absent of the point. It was easy to reach, because it was in the middle of a river (lucky for us that now is the drought period) which passes the village too, and so we reached the point at 8:30 a.m. The GPS shows a altitude of 21m.
We celebrated this successful visit with a breakfast in this village and after that with swimming in the bay of Acapulco.
Most impressive on this trip were all the pigs which lives free in the village with the friendly people.
