#1: North to the cones and the route

(visited by Chris S)

27-Feb-2007 -- 22N 8E is a lovely spot, halfway along a remote southern route between Tam and Djanet in southern Algeria (route A14 in my book) and about 100 km north of the Niger border.

All around is pristine granite sand sheet but as you can see from one photo, not far to the North are a clutch of granite cone mountains through which the main route passes. Further north is the Ighallaouene chain which would be fun to explore one day.
