This Confluence was visited in late afternoon of 3 March 2008. The location lies conveniently only 25 km south of the sleepy oasis of Rabyāna. The only reason for tourists to visit this dusty village is probably the newly built petrol station there which is known to be quite reliable. We were on the way from Jabal `Uwaynāt to Idhān Murzuq far west and had to stock up our fuel there. The Confluence was exactly on our route and is situated just east of the dunes of Erg Rabyāna and west of some unnamed hills, easily accessable on flat sandy surface. Continued at 24N 21E. |
