#1: Looking north from confluence

(visited by Abdul Karim Khadim, Mukhtar Hussain, Amjad ali, Mohsin ali and Mohammad ayoob)

02-Apr-2007 -- I am an engineer by profession involved in road and bridge construction in Pakistan. I came to know about degree confluence project in last week of march 2007. After going thru the visits by different successful visitors I was exited and decided to go for degree confluence visit soon as possible.

My head office is in Islamabad and regional office in Karachi. I came to Karachi 30th march 2007 for an official visit. I decided to go for a visit to 25 N, 67 E which is in suburbs of Karachi. Though this confluence was already visited by one visitor in 2004 but yet it was incomplete and I wanted to make a successful visit.

Myself,my son Ali my friend and partner Mr Mukhtar and his son Mohsin along with our driver Ayoob started our journey at about 6-15 in the morning. It took us about 45 minutes to reach village Khair Muhammad via Karachi northern bypass. We were successful in reaching the nearest point by our jeep and then we parked it about 250 meters from the exact point and then walked to the location. It took us 10 minutes to reach the exact confluence location. The point was in an open land it was not cultivated but grassy due to rains in recent past. After reaching the exact location we celebrated by congratulating each other and started taking pictures. We were there for about ten minutes and then started our return journey. While coming back we all had tea at village Khair Muhammad. The visit was very much successful and it gave us courage for visiting new confluences.
