(visited by Henry Wakefield and Joyce Wakefield)

13-Nov-2004 -- We were on a fishing trip to Loreto, Baja California Sur, Mexico knowing there was an unvisited confluence just offshore. We tried to get out to 26N 111W but it was too windy to travel 40km to the other side of Isla del Carmen. On our way driving North of Loreto we visited some friends who live just 8km NE of 27N 112W. They have a boat but the engine wasn't running so we had to abandon our quest. Continuing further North the next day I decided to attempt 28N 114W even though it had been visited previously.

The location proved to be very easy to find, in part because of the neaby giant monument and Mexican flag marking the 28th parallel which is also the border between Baja California Norte and Baja Sur. There were several narrow dirt roads in the area and we found one that took us to within 100 meters of the confluence. It was an easy walk by Baja standards because there was very little cacti in the area.
