11-Oct-2015 -- We were on a diving trip on a motorboat in the north of the Red Sea (Saudi Arabia-Tabūk). The trip started from the Coast Guard port at Ra's al-Qaṣba, 36 km west of the Confluence.

The first few days we couldn't make it because of the strong wind. It was very hard to anchor the boat on the Confluence with the current and wind, but finally we made it.

The Confluence is located in shallow water 550 meters south of a white sandbank, surrounded by beautiful untouched corals. We have been diving there for the last 26 years, the extensive marine live and the clarity of the water makes it like an unlimited underwater HD screen.

Cheers.

  Notes
In the Red Sea, but with a view of land. About 6 km to the NE is an island, but already 500 m to the North a reef with a small sandbank can be found.
