(visited by George Carman)

14-Dec-2005 -- I passed within 10,000 meters of 31 deg north 68 deg east whilst making geological survey observations in this remote part of Balochistan near the Afghanistan border in December 2005. Traveling with local people we entered the area by 4WD from Quetta and then traversed the terrain on foot using a Garmin iQue M5 for survey control.

Until such time as the ground zero is reached I thought it would be interesting to report this visit with narrative, photographs and maps to illustrate the potential to actually reach the convergence point some time in the near future.
