#1: The spot 840 m out in the water

(visited by Uwe Bertele)

30-Oct-2007 -- On our trip through Tunisia, Libya, and Egypt down to the Sudan-Libya triangle and then back home to Switzerland, we just have crossed the Tunisian-Libyan border. Since we had to wait for hours on a passport, I started early in the morning to get to the confluence point.

From the map it was not very clear, if the point is far in the water or not. So I walked the roughly seven kilomers along the beach. Since I did not want to get wet, I only got as close as 840 m to the point. It was after all a nice walk, but the beach was not so clean.
