16-Aug-2000 -- I was in Laramie for the Rocky
Mountain 1000 day orienteering meet, had some free time after my run so
I went crusin' for confluences.
Had no preparation and no decent map, just set a waypoint and managed
to get within 50 meters on roads. Unfortunately, there was no hiking or
adventurious travels to get to this one, just blast up the interstate
and follow the town grid thru farmland. The pictures are not
representative of the terrain on the way to or near the confluence; most
of that is open, dry prairie rangeland with rolling hills (see 42N 106W
for what this part of WY is like).
No fence, no signs, and no sign of the landowner, so I avoided the
corn and damaging any cultivated crops and grabbed a couple of pics.
