01-Sep-2001 -- On this Saturday, by 1 pm, I left Prat-Bonrepaux towards south by the road to Cazavet village, turned right towards a group of houses named "Salège", just 600m. north of the confluence point. According to my map, it looked better to take a forest road which makes a hairpin left turn about 200 m. south of the confluence. I left the car at the entry of the forest road (5th picture), 1.5 km east of the confluence, and walked along the road, up to be just 200 m. south of the confluence point. Then, I climbed down through a steep and dense forest.
The soil was slippery, with dead leaves, mud, and mossed stones, but comfortable enough for the many falls I made. I stopped at about 10 m. from the confluence point according to my GPS, the slope at the confluence point being too steep. Even there, I had to block my GPS with my foot to prevent it to slip 200 m. down.
