24-Jun-2006 -- 43N 115E is in the center of Hun Shan Da Ke desert, which is about 600km from Beijing, and it's more than 60km from any highway. This desert is a heaven for all jeep lover in Beijing.

After have lunch and fill in gas, we left national highway from Sang Gen Da Lai town, and entered the desert. At the beginning, the dirt road is not bad and very beautiful, we followed a rain cloud and finnally override it. About 5 o'clock, we found the road disappeared, ended in front of a fence. We had to track back and ask local people for help. It's not easy, so we decided to camping.

5 A.M, Jun 25st, we get up early to the confluece point. The dirt road was replaced by sand road, at most time, we have to use 4WD. We drive carefully, since we are solo, most of our friends are still sleeping in our camp, and it will cost lots of time to rescue us if we were in trouble.

The road crossed a big pool, that's lead us stopped to ask local people about the road, and they told there are bigger pools ahead, and suggest us drive back to another way. About 3km from the CP, the wheel track changed to ox track, we have to back again.

Finally, it's only 1.2km from the CP, the trail turn to another side, we get off our jeep and began our trekking. The terrian is simple, after two dunes we reached the 43N 115E. We had drove more than 100km on dirt road at that time.
