15-Apr-2006 -- From our electronic map, we found the target point lies on the cliff of a grand canyon, which is about 1.5km width and 150 meters high. It's strange that the canyon full of water on our LANDSAT satelite map, but small villages at the bottom of the river on our vector map.

The road to target is easy since their is a new super highway leads us to our target, and only less than 10 kilometers desert road left. Our accompanier is very exciting when get off from the super highway, he loves offroad very much. When we stand at the point, we realize all the maps are correct: their is a great canyon and a big river, perhaps their is a dam nearby, the river is almost one kilometers width. The vector map is old, small villages disappears.

The way back is not easy, more than 100 kilometers desert "road". navigation is not easy too, their is no beeline at all. Finally when we back to highway, we found something wrong with the lubricating oil system of our jeep, it forces us to find a truck to carry our jeep back, and replace a full engine for that jeep. An expensive trip, more than 5000 US$.
