10-Jul-2005 -- On the second day of a thirteen day road-trip we were driving on a dirt track within 11km of this confluence between Ulaanbaatar and Dalanzadgad. The terrain wasn't too bad, just some small hills and drainages to get over but we made it right to the confluence in the jeep. I was doing the driving while Kevin and Karen were along for the ride as part of a world trip - I'd met up with them just a couple of days earlier after putting 2 places in my jeep up for grabs.
Weather was sunny and warm, temperature around 28 degrees Celsius. A few local familes had their gers set up within the surrounding area, the closest being a few kilometres away.
This confluence fills a gap in the coverage of central Mongolia and was a relatively easy tick. It was my first time - no longer a confluence virgin! During the later stages of the trip we also visited 44N 102E and 45N 100E.
