  49°N 99°E

#1: The 49°N 99°E point site from about 100 meters down hill.

(visited by Bayar Budragchaa)

13-Jul-2013 -- The site was located in about 500 meters from a dirt road that was not on our maps (even on the GPS it was not marked). But the road turns out to be a major road that is still used to travel from Tosontsengel Sum (Zavkhan aymag) to Shine-Ider Sum (Khövsgöl aymag). We did not know this and started our off road trip to the point from a dirt road that started from Ikh-Uul Sum (Zavkhan aymag). We had to climb up and pass over a difficult hill, but were surprised that on top there was a nice plateau to drive around, but soon came across a thick forest and thought that was the end of our trip. However, we have found a motorcycle (single tire) track probably used by locals and soon came out of the forest and right away saw the above mentioned road. We could drive right to the potential spot looking at our GPS and then on foot it took us about 20 minutes to identify the point using our GPS (provided by company "Olloo", Mongolia.
