03-Feb-2008 -- With the snow really coming down outside the window, Swedish Geocaching Group Team_EoN decides it's time for another one. Just the day before (02-Feb-2008) we had visited N60E18 and as we live in Karlskoga, N60E17 is perfectly located on the way home.
This would be our ninth confluence visit, and a it proved to be a nice one.
We started of from Uppsala and directly set our GPS's (a Garmin GPSmap 60Csx and MyGuide 4400) to N60E17, and then pointed our Toyota Prius in the right direction.
A beautiful weather mill tickled our interest on the way, so we stopped and checked it, just to find another one of our beloved geocaches.
There are good drivable roads to about 2 km from the confluence, after that a roadblock hinders the way for the car, and the legs will have to do the rest of the work.
So, we stopped and started walking. After we passed the roadblock the road went on to within 350 m from the confluence, and the last stretch towards our goal would be a wet one. We tried to keep to the high ground, but it just wasn't possible to walk all of the 350 forest meters without getting soaked from feet to knees.
This in itself wouldn't be a problem if it wasn't for the fact that we're in the middle of the winter, and so it turned cold quickly.
Good GPS reception at the place made for a fast logg, and some photos later we were ready to turn back to the car for a change of socks.
We hope you like the pictures!
