02-Jun-2022 -- Since we have been several times to Norway without visiting a confluence, this time we wanted to change that. Our route is heading north to Terråk (65.0848486,12.3604114) where we want to visit dear friends of ours.

On our way we went to the scenic Geirangerfjord and took afterwards the Trollstigen mountain road. The next highlight was the scenic road Atlanterhavsvegen, the Atlantic Ocean Road between Bud and Kårvåg. Up till then, we were very lucky and had beautiful weather. That changed into heavy rainfall for days.

This morning we drove on the route 70 and we were as close as 450m to the confluence N63 E08 but it had rained heavily since hours with no signs of an end. Furthermore, it was down a hill and seemed to be a large farm. We decided to skip this confluence and went on to the next confluence N63 E09.

From the route 70 we had to take a ferry across the Trongfjorden and continued on route 670 to Skei and from there onto route 65 till we came to the Øvre Sæter Salmon Fishing Camp, which is 250m next to the confluence. Here we camped with the intention to stay till the rain stops or at least subsides. Early evening the rain stopped and we attempt the confluence.

The first 100m were easy through the camp. The next 100m through heavy under-grows and washed-up stones before we were in front of a strong rushing stream. We had to go back to the road and cross the water on the street. The last 50m to the confluence we went from the main road through high grass and over boulders. The confluence point is in an area that was flooded the year before. Five huts from the fishing camp were also washed away during this time.

Next confluence: N63 E15
