For geographical details of the area we refer to the 1:250 000 Saga Map No. 7 "Manitsoq/Sukkertoppen". The nearest settlement is Kangamiut/Gamle Sukkertoppen, located on an island near to the mouth of the Evighedsfjord (Eternity fjord). It could be a great challenge to reach this CP by kayak, sailing the 75 km from Kangamiut into the inner part of the fjord, and finding out, whether the CP is in the water but very close to the shore (Jet Navigation Chart JNC No. 20, 1: 2 000 000) or on the shore, depending on tide, or even permanently on land (Saga Map, based on the maps of the Grønland Geodætisk Institut, Copenhagen). Here "land" means a mountain area which is extremely steep, falling within 1200 m over ground from 1580 m to sea level.
We were lucky to have a fine view to this rather inaccessible part of Greenland while just flying over 66°N/51°W (see that report for more details). Photo 1 is a view SW to the CP, its position between two glaciers marked by a circle in Photo 2.
