25-Mar-2008 -- This is the 14th of a series of 83 confluence visits during our voyage from Nigeria to Europe and back to Nigeria around the entire African continent. It all started on 28 January at 11N 5E.

Story continues from 5N 2W.

We had been traveling from Cape Coast towards Kumasi. Before Kumasi we turned off to Lake Bosumtwi and spent a couple of wonderful days there. We continued our journey to the Mole National Park and spent two nights there. From there we headed towards Tamale.

At the Kusawgu junction we turned off and followed the road leading us directly to the confluence 9N 1W. We made the necessary documentation and continued our journey up north.

50 km outside Bolgatanga we set up camp in the bush. The next morning we indented to visit the whispering rocks in Tongo and got instead to the biggest festival in this area celebrating their yearly harvest.

Continued at 12N 2W.
