18-Feb-2005 -- The easiest confluence in the Caribbean!
After reading the first visitor's report, I realized that we simply had to visit this point on our next trip to St Lucia.
We boarded the Empress of the Seas in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and had
a very nice time as the ship visited St Maarten, St Barth and St Kitts,
before going on to St Lucia.
In St Lucia we were very much helped by having a printout of the first
visitor's trip report: The taxi driver knew not only where the
community college was located, he also recognized the flowers on
the tree featured in one of the photo thumbnails!
So we simply drove from the cruise terminal through the downtown area,
then up the very steep hill to the south, past a streetside market
located at a nice overlook, and up almost to the entrance to the
college.
At this time my GPS was pointing to the right, so we took that road
and in about 100 m we parked within 50 m of the point. The little field
beside the road was easy to recognize, it brought me to within about
25 m, the point where the first visitors stopped.
Today the ground was nice and firm, so I had no trouble
getting down the hill to the all-zero spot.
