#1: The confluence with river Hvítá in the background

(visited by Tomas Tomasson and Kristín Harðardóttir)

12-Jun-2005 -- We walked a marked path from Alviðra. It is a steep path and it took us 80 minutes to get to the confluence taking it easy. I must say that Terje's 45 minutes for the whole trip, in snow, is quite an achievement; a "karstykke".

The view from the confluence itself is nothing special but from the ridge of the mountain, 140m away, it is spectacular.
