English narrative

19-Jun-2005 -- Perfect sunny weekend. Our family is going to visit a confluence. Long time ago this trip was planned - and (you don't say so!) unbelievable, we're lucky! One can only dream about such a confluence! The nature in Belarus is beautiful, but in summer - especially. A wonderful glade among the undergrowth and the confluence is right in the middle. It seemed, that the nature purposely has gathered all its miracles at this tiny piece of land so that they could be seen all at once from the pictures at www.confluence.org. Mixed undergrowth (coniferous and deciduous trees), flowering heather, mashrooms, ripe wild strawberries and fragrance of native-grasses is all around...

That was the first (and so successful) confluence for us (Yasinsky Yury, Zinaida, Lesia) in Belarus!

  Notes
Attention: In December 1989 the area around the Confluence had a radioactive surface contamination from Caesium-137 of 37-185 kBq/m², the half-life of Cs-137 being 30 years. Thus the time of stay in this area should be kept as short as possible and appropriate measures should be taken by the visitors to protect themselves against any radioactive contamination.
