15-Jul-2005 -- On my families trip in 2005 from Adelaide to Roper Bar and back a different way, we discovered that we would be travelling close to a few confluence points. This was our first one along the way.

My Mum,(Jenny)was trying to work out how to get onto the property it was on, and this was also one we all wanted to go to, remembering how fun our last one had been. It was on a property called 'Old Herbert Vale' The track took ages to find because it was not signposted and hadn't been graded for 3 years making a bit overgrown.

We finally found it, a few 100 meters after a sign that had a picture of Cows eating cars. We turn'd down it accepting the challenge of an adventure. As soon as we were on it we realised that it wasn't going to be easy. The track was bumpy, hilly and even hairier than the previous ones we had been travelling on. Trust me they were hairy.

On the way we saw the owner on his tractor and my Dad,(Martin) went over to tell him what we were doing. He didn't mind so we continued on our way. My Family finally got there and we were all thrilled and excited. (Except for that this was a cattle station and there was cow manure and flies everywhere) EWW!

Nevertheless, I persevered and got on with the job. After the fun photos and celebrating we left and since it was getting dark, we looked for a kind of poo free spot to set up camp and ended the day sleeping about 100m from the Confluence Point.

My little sister(Kaitlin)and I had so much fun and we love our 4WD Trips and especially finding confluences and can't wait to go again!
