26-Jul-2005 -- We are living in Nizhniy Novgorod, Russia. Usually, every summer we are visiting interesting places in Russia. This year we decided to visit Baikal Lake and Baikalski Hrebet Mountains. In more than three days we were arrived to Severobaikalsk. This town is located on the Baikal’s lakeside. The view of the Baikal was incredible. We rent two motorboards and went to the 55N 109E confluence. In more than 2 hours we were there. The picture #1 is the front view, the picture #7 is the view to the back, the picture #10 is the view of the far lakeside. Unfortunately, the first photo of the GPS receiver is not clear. When we were returning I did one more picture – it is clear, but there is a delta of our position from the confluence - picture #6. The picture #34 is the view to the confluence from the lakeside. Also, you can see on this picture the mouth of the Kurkula River.

The visit of this confluence was a small part of the our trip. We have been very impressed by the water, mountains, air, weather, lakes, fish, waterfall, views from the pass, glaciers for a long time. Baikal and mountains near the lake is the fantastic, very beautiful place.
