#1: View of hillside where the confluence is

(visited by Matthew Weathers, Nathan Weathers, Andy Weathers, Dale Weathers, Mark Weathers, Daniel Weathers, John Gregory, David B and Lisa B)

09-Aug-2005 -- During a family reunion, 14 of us decided to go find this confluence. We had several GPS units and a good topo map. We found a road that came fairly close on the map, and drove there.

Picture #1 shows the general area. It's very scenic. The small lake was created by a small dam right near where we parked our cars.

The last quarter mile or so was very steep, about a 45-degree angle. Still, we pressed on.

As you can see from Picture #2, we had some young children along. It was kind of steep for some of them, but they made it, except for mom & baby, who waited at the bottom of the hill. With 14 of us, I wonder if we came close to breaking the record for number of people visiting a confluence at one time? Certainly we hold the record for most people at this confluence.

See: my web page about this hike

Coordinator's Note: This visit is classified as incomplete because it does not meet the minimum photo requirements for a successful visit (two photos without confluence visitors or their belongings).
