25-Mar-2006 -- I went after this Confluence after successfully hunting 4 Geodash points (see http://geodashing.gpsgames.org/). My approach was via Lower McKenzie Lake Road southerly from WI-77 to Zehm Road, then easterly about 700 meters to a point about 1 km from the CP. The road running east was unpaved and snow covered. The beginning grade was too steep form my car, so I parked and walked in. The road went over 3 hills and I had to watch my footing on the slick melting snow. When I reached the closest point on the road, I headed north through the pine forest until I was within 30 meters of the CP. This was just after 17:00 and the light was fading. I took photos, using my cell phone and thought I got all 4 directions, but when I got home there were only 3 directional photos and a GPS shot.

Under the pines the snow was thin, but in some open areas it was ankle deep and got into my shoes. The round trip walk was about 2.3 km and took a little over a half hour.

On my trip I saw many deer along the highways. I had to slow down and sound my horn several times when they were on the road. I also saw 5 bald eagles, two pair and one solo. They were all feeding on road-kill deer.
